..but something about this composition attracted me. It’s quite run of the mill so to speak. but not everything can be explained now, can it?

also here’s an interesting e-book of motivational essays on photography by Scott Bourne. Maybe you’d enjoy it as much as I did. The free download is here

sorry folks. things have been terrible..and trust me I have been checking out everyone’s posts every day..but commenting requires a kind of energy and positive belief which I’m lacking currently. But I get daily inspiration from everyone’s posts and ideas. I never knew the blogosphere could feel like a place I belong to..

  1. This shot is one of a kind… Maybe because the water looks like islands on the terrace. May be the blue tone. Maybe the common misunderstanding that—what is seen on the far is more happening and interesting—like in the pic. The backdrop seems to be crowded with happenings when the near is plain and calm.
    Nice make.

  2. Hi Dhaami. I haven’t visited for a while, wrapped up in my own busy world. Today I thought I would catch up with your world. After looking at your beautiful images I noticed the date of the last one, its tone and tag. Maybe you are living through a tough period. I send you peace and love and this thought.

    1. You have no idea how much this helped me.. It is the nicest thing to log back in after months and to see these lines lying in wait to answer the questions that have been bothering me. Thank you would be too inadequate a word..

  3. The composition is lovely Dhaami. It may be a run of the mill scene but the way the colours have been accentuated, there is a picture behind this one. Lovely!

  4. Oh Dhaami, I know what you mean about the blogging world.
And sometimes solitude and pain are good and necessary for evolution and growth (as I’ve learned). I know it’s hard to view it this way while in the midst of it all but somewhere within us, we know it’s true. Sending you love, light and positive energy.

  5. I like many things about this shot, Dhaami… the isolated feel created by the vacant lot and reinforced by the cool tones (which contrast so nicely with the warmer yellows)… the distorted reflections, the gritty textures, the old tire tracks…
    very, very nicely done!

    1. hey! I love that you noticed so many things in the photo…and exactly the way I intended… feels like being patted for a job well done. Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚
